Patches can celebrate a troop activity or completing a program unique to Girl Scouts. They are less formal than Badges. Many have requirements that need to be completed. Some are activity patches that should relate to an activity the scout participated in with other scouts (i.e., ice skating, caroling, visiting Hershey Museum, Thinking Day, etc.
For patches that had requirements to earn girls should present what they did to the troop.
